I sail for recreative purposes. I took a course in sailing pleasure crafts in the summer of 2009 and may act as the skipper on sailboats. I have to say that by sailing I mean by wind power however, being on (open) water in general is something I like.
I love trips by boat, here are some that I remember:
In the summer of 2010 - as Skipper - I encircled Sealand in a 7 days recreative tour. My first long trip at the helm! Well not literally; my crew did most of the steering as we took turns. Learned very much about Skinfaxe.
Skipper Ville. Crew: HC, Lasse, and Ulrik.
The weekend of 15th of October 2005, Skinfaxe sailed from it's home of Wildersplads Marina in the channel of Christianshavns, to a small island located between Denmark and the Swedish mainland. The island Ven (Hven in danish), where we harbored between Saturday and Sunday. It was cool to see the classic beacons used to signal either a state of war, or the birth of an throne heir. Pictures exist.
Skipper Jacob O. Crew: Lasse and Ville.
Skinfaxe is 7.3 meters (24') long sailboat owned by the scoutgroup Mikkel Vibe with whom I regularly roam. She is a Granada 24 from the seventies.
